I was trolling through one of my favourite sites for ideas: John Thackara's Doors of Perception weblog (http://www.doorsofperception.com/) and found a link to a great initiative on healthy gardens called Freedom Gardens: http://www.freedomgardens.org/

It's a really neat site. As corny as this sound, the site 'feels' earthy and resembles so much of what is good about a garden. I might visit it often, particularly over the next few days as Toronto goes through an evening of -25 degree wind chill. Nothing like a little gardening to spruce things up.
